Large Sterling Silver Indian Pendant with Turquoise
An intricate and detailed pendant from Rajasthan, India which depicts floral motifs and a double peacock design. Peacocks represent happiness in India and are considered sacred. The motif of two peacocks, one on either side of the Tree of Life, stands for the two characteristics of man much the same as Gemini is portrayed in western astrology.
This extraordinary pendant hangs from 17 inches of hand-knotted turquoise and silver accents. The pendant is 2 inches top to bottom, and 2.5 inches wide.
