An antique silver pendant depicting the Seven Mothers from Rajasthan, India hangs from hand-knotted labradorite beads with silver accents. These sacred amulets are thought to provide protection for women. The Seven Mothers are usually accompanied by an eighth male character known as the guardian or brother, here the far right character (the first seven wear long dresses and he does not). A border adorns the outline of the rectangular amulet symbolizing family unity.
The necklace is 22 inches long and the pendant is 1.5 inches wide and 1.25 inches top to bottom.
