Nepali Coral, Lapis and Turquoise Pendant
This pendant from Nepal is characteristic of the styles made by Tibetan refugee artisans in Kathmandu. It showcases inlays of rich red coral, blue-green turquoise and deep cobalt lapis with lovely handiwork of scrolls, dots and twisted wire.
This dramatic, colorful pendant hangs from 19.5 inches of lovingly hand-knotted turquoise rounds (these beads are .5 inch wide) and a pair of antique lapis beads with silver caps from Tibet. The pendant is 3 inches, top to bottom, and 1.75 inches wide.
