Retirement in 2023

Big change in 2023. But first...2022 was an extremely challenging year for me.
This past spring I had 2 urgent eye surgeries for a condition that can cause sudden and permanent blindness. Scary but successful.

A month or so later I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
That journey lasted the remainder of the year with surgery and treatments, which I recently completed.
Now I have 5-7 years of hormone therapy ahead of me and I hope the hard part is behind me.

For these reasons, I was not up to working for most of 2022.

I have now decided that it is time for me to retire.
So I will be closing Judith Altman Designs by the end of 2023.
That involves liquidating both my on-hand finished jewelry pieces and my raw materials.

CUSTOMERS - stay tuned for sales this year with progressive discounts, starting at 30% off of my
wholesale prices. Over time I will increase that discount percentage for remaining items until my inventory is sold down.

Everything is one of a kind, so jump at it early if you love it. You take your chances waiting for a bigger discount.

Either way, the deals will be amazing and the prices the lowest I have ever offered.

JEWELRY DESIGNERS - I will be selling off supplies, including many antique and rare pieces that I have
obtained on my global travels. Tibetan silver repoussé pendants, carved Chinese jade, antique Indian silver
from Rajasthan, European medallions, etc. As well as stones, beads, chain, pearls, etc.

I will be pricing them at, or below, what I paid for them.

My jewelry journey has brought me so much joy and satisfaction for more than 2 decades. Thank you for
your support of my work all these years. I don't exactly know what is next for me but I will share it as I discover it.
