Hinged Tuareg Pendant with Tibetan Agates

    350.00
This pendant is a contemporary creation of Tuareg silversmiths. It has lovely inscribed designs surrounding an inset tiger's eye cabochon. Of fine quality, this pendant has a hinge connecting the two moveable parts. The Tuareg are nomadic Berbers who inhabit the Sahara and are renowned for their jewelry. The piece is signed by the artist on the back using markings from Tifinaugh, an abjad script used to write the Tuareg language.

Tibetan agates with the evil eye (to repel it not attract it!) make up an 18 inch necklace. The pendant is 2.5 inches top to bottom, and is 1.3 inches wide.
