French Antique Art Nouveau Pendant with Pyrite
This superb, large, gold-toned pendant is a fine example of European Art Nouveau design. Art Nouveau was an international style of decorative arts in Europe during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This piece depicts a woman wearing a flowing gown, surrounded by a sinuous frame with classic design details. She carries an arrow in her raised right hand and has wings sprouting from her head.
The 17.5 inch necklace is made of hand-knotted, faceted pyrite beads with gold accents. The pendant is 2.5 inches top to bottom, and 1.75 inches at its widest point.
